Pre-Professional Program

Ages 12-18

Levels V-Advanced

Classes are offered in classical ballet, pointe, variations, contemporary, Horton technique, jazz and tap. All classes Level V through Advanced attend ballet class three days per week with the option of attending additional classes in modern, tap and jazz. Horton technique is offered only to Intermediate and Advanced dancers. ​

Level V

Students continue to develop and expand their skill set and understanding of terminology, anatomy, and artistic expression. 

Partnering, creative process and improvisation may be incorporated at this level.

With high energy, fast-paced classes students hone their technique, retention, and processing skills. Steps and exercises become more difficult as students progress.

Intermediate II

Students are exposed to a wide-range of approaches to both contemporary, modern, and ballet techniques. 

Anatomy, physiology, and injury prevention continue to be emphasized. Various modern techniques along with contemporary approaches are incorporated in each class. Dancers continue to study and learn variations from the well-known ballets.

Level VI

Advanced 

Advanced students act as role models for the whole studio. Dancers are expected to have consistent attendance and approach each class with respect, curiosity, and hard work. 

Anatomy, physiology, and injury prevention continue to be emphasized. Various modern techniques along with contemporary approaches are incorporated in each class. Dancers continue to study and learn variations from the well-known ballets.

Intermediate I

Class tempo is increased, moving faster through each exercise with the understanding that students are continuing to develop their ability to process and retain information quickly. 

Students are required to master the steps in addition to understanding deeper movement foundations of anatomy and physiology. Artistic expression, improvisation, and creative process are all emphasized throughout each class.
