SAFD's "Diversity In Dance" Intensive broadens students' horizons with a diverse array of dance styles.
Alongside Contemporary and Ballet/Pointe Variations, our dancers will experience Flamenco, West African, Jazz, Hip Hop, Leaps & Turns, Pilates for Dancers, Contemporary Floorwork, and Contemporary Partnering. Exiting the classical comfort zone, "Diversity in Dance" aims to expand our dancers' vocabulary, allowing room to deepen the dancers' knowledge and relationship to movement, strengthen the body, broaden versatility, and appreciate diverse dance styles. In presenting new information and movement pathways, our students will increase learning skills, grow their adaptability, and gain confidence in approaching new challenges.
